Description

We are seeking a Microbiology Laboratory Assistant to join our Quality Operations team. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting microbiological testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is essential in contributing to the production of high-quality pharmaceutical products.

MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY ASSISTANT
Responsibilities

Microbiological Testing:

· Perform routine microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental samples.

· Conduct microbial identification and enumeration using standard microbiological techniques.

· Ensure accurate documentation of test results and maintain detailed records.

Laboratory Maintenance:

· Assist in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.

· Monitor and manage laboratory supplies and reagents inventory.

· Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment according to established procedures.

Quality Control:

· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and other relevant regulations.

· Participate in the investigation of out-of-specification (OOS) results and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.

Continuous Improvement:

· Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and quality.

· Provide input for the development and improvement of laboratory procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· OND in Laboratory Technology or Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.

· Previous laboratory experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting.

· Knowledge of microbiological techniques and aseptic practices.

· Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GMP.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Effective communication and teamwork skills.

 

Experience:

Minimum of two [2] years of relevant experience.
